Josef Šimák, a teacher at the Ceramic School in Bechyně, the Headmaster since 1935. He devoted himself primarily to decorative painting, during the 1920’s he was also creating small decorative sculptures. This sculpture, inspired by the work of Josef Drahoňovský, was designed for the Exhibition of Contemporary Culture that took place in Brno in 1928.
